Stephanie Ray Butcher recently won the Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of County Agriculture Agents.

From Special Reports
Coweta’s own Stephanie Ray Butcher recently received the 2016 Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of County Agriculture Agents during their annual meeting and professional improvement Conference held in Salt Lake City, UT.
This award is given to agents with more than 10 years of service in Cooperative Extension and who have exhibited excellence in the field of extension education. This award is only presented to 2% of the county extension educators in Georgia each year.
Butcher supports the citizens of Coweta County by providing a quality UGA Extension program including all three program areas – agriculture & natural resources, 4-H youth development, and family and consumer sciences. Mrs. Butcher focuses on protecting water resources, developing volunteers, and educating her community about Georgia’s number one industry, agriculture. She provides leadership to the Coweta Water Education Team, manages 175 master gardener/4-H volunteers and coaches an award winning 4-H dairy heifer show team.
