SEPTEMBER 29, FRIDAY

DESSERT THEATRE
7 p.m. at the Nixon Centre, 1523 Lower Fayetteville Road, Newnan
Presented by ECHOStage (East Coweta High School) in the Nixon Centre Black Box Theatre. One act plays and dessert.

Three local squads in action this week.

SEPTEMBER 30, SATURDAY

COWETA COUNTY FARMERS MARKET / NEWNAN
8:30 a.m.-Noon at Asa M. Powell Sr. Expo Center, 197 Temple Avenue, Newnan
Every Wednesday and Saturday (thru mid-October) Local farmers  offer homegrown fruits, vegetables, homemade food items, plants and more!

SENOIA FARMERS MARKET
8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at 40 Travis Street, Senoia
It is a community-oriented marketplace that features a variety of local farmers, food producers, artisans, and craftsmen. You can find a wide selection of fresh produce, including fruits and vegetables, herbs, and flowers. There are also local food producers selling homemade baked goods, jams and jellies, honey, and other artisanal products. The market also features handmade crafts, such as pottery, jewelry, and textiles. Visitors can enjoy live music, food trucks, and other family-friendly activities.  EVERY Saturday.

TOWER TRAIL 5K
9 a.m. at Hogansville Elementary, 611 East Main Street, Hogansville
Annual event of the Hummingbird Festival and fundraiser. Race Day Registration starts at 8 a.m. and race begins at 9 a.m. Fee is $20 and Kids under 12 is $10. Your registration fee supports the staging of the race and also a donation to the Hogansville Charitable Trust. Experience historic Hogansville on a beautiful fall morning as you run or walk a 5K route through placid streets and along the Tower Trail. Running, walking, dogs and strollers are welcome. Prizes are awarded to race winners in age categories. This is also a very friendly and fun race for walkers and joggers. Plenty of space for everyone, of all ages and fitness levels. Get a group of friends together, or come out on your own and meet someone new!

SERENBE FARMERS MARKET
9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 9110 Selborne Lane, Palmetto
Serenbe Farmers Market offers a variety of healthy foods and artisanal goods on a large green space surrounded by a canopy of trees. Spend the morning shopping for your weekly groceries or unique gifts & wears while enjoying the beauty of nature.

PEACHTREE CITY MARKET
9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Aberdeen Village Shopping Center, Aberdeen Parkway, Peachtree City
This market brings approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats, honey, eggs, prepared foods and so much more. It’s the perfect place to find the consummate gift for the foodie in your life and visitors will also find live music going on.

18TH ANNUAL SENOIA CAR SHOW
10 a.m.-4 p.m. at downtown Senoia
The event is free to spectators. Shift gears from the speed of everyday as you stroll down the scenic streets of Senoia and enjoy the classics. You’ll enjoy 500 show cars, awards, a pedal car auction, valve cover racing, fly over, food trucks and more. There will be golf cart shuttles available at the show.

16TH ANNUAL JOEY’S RIDE
11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Big Daddy’s Oyster Bar & Pub, 101 Crossings East, Peachtree City
Fully escorted motorcycle ride through the streets of Fayette County. Registration starts at 10 a.m. and the ride begins at noon. Rider donation of $25 includes T-shirt.

3RD ANNUAL HISPANIC HERITAGE FESTIVAL
3-8 p.m. at Drake Field, 155 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City
Come out to Drake Field for the third annual Peachtree City Hispanic Heritage Festival! Shop vendors and enjoy food, entertainment and fun! This year the festival will have Peruvian live music by APU INKA and also a versatile band, Wonder Things, playing everything between Selena to Karol G and Nirvana to Bruno Mars! Azucar Cuban Cafe and 1 Queen Churro are also new to the food lineup.

MUGS FOR MUTTS
5-9 p.m. at Line Creek Brewing The Reserve, 18 Savannah Street, Newnan
Over 20 Silent Auction Items including stayaction packages, tattoo gift card, spa basket, facial basket, coffee basket, etc. with proceeds benefitting the Newnan-Coweta Humane Society. Food, live music, 50/50 raffle, face painting and more. NCHS calendars for sale and a doggie clothing “pop-up” sale. Limited edition event mugs available for purchase.

DESSERT THEATRE
7 p.m. at the Nixon Centre, 1523 Lower Fayetteville Road, Newnan

CAMPFIRE AND BINGO
7:30-8:30 p.m. at Chattahoochee Bend State Park, 425 Bob White Way, Newnan

Join us at the park for some bingo fun at the visitor center fire ring and enjoy a warm fire while we play. Each card is $2, and there is a ten-person limit. Pre-register with the visitor center at 770-254-7271.
