FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18

HALLOWEEN TODDLER STORYTIME & CRAFT
10-11 a.m., Newnan Carnegie Library, 1 LaGrange Street, Newnan • 770-683-1347
It’s story time! Attendees will celebrate Halloween through books, songs, and body movement. Activities will be followed by a themed craft or open play. This program is recommended for children ages 1-3, but siblings are welcome. Registration is required. To register, click HERE.

COWETA FEST
5-10 p.m., Line Creek Brewing The Reserve, 18 Savannah Street, Newnan
This annual fundraiser from Coweta Community Foundation returns after rocking out with the Madhatter last year, where the event raised big bucks for the Coweta Together Fund which benefits local nonprofits all across Coweta County (more than $125,000 was awarded to 31 nonprofits and 9 Coweta County Schools). This year’s musical guest is A1A, the premier Jimmy Buffet tribute band! We’re all about making a difference while having a blast, and hope you can make the show. Here’s what’s waiting for you at Coweta Fest: Unforgettable Entertainment: A1A the premier Jimmy Buffet tribute band, will set the stage for an evening experience that’ll have you grooving the night away. And, Tasty Eats: Food trucks, including the legendary Ellison Brothers’ BBQ, will be dishing out mouthwatering treats. The best part? A slice of the proceeds will power our fundraising mission.

SENOIA ALIVE AFTER FIVE: HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR BASH
5-9 p.m., Downtown Senoia
All things spooky at the Senoia Alive After Five HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR BASH! Senoia Alive After Five is a monthly community event that takes place in downtown Senoia, Georgia. The event features live music performances by local musicians, food trucks, and vendors selling handcrafted artisan goods, jewelry, artwork and much more! During Senoia Alive After Five, many of the shops and restaurants in the downtown area stay open late, offering special deals and discounts. This is a great opportunity to shop local after usual business hours!

Forty-seven years after Wait Until Dark premiered on Broadway, Jeffrey Hatcher has adapted Frederick Knott’s 1966 original, giving it a new setting. In 1944 Greenwich Village, Susan Hendrix, a blind yet capable woman, is imperiled by a trio of men in her own apartment. As the climax builds, Susan discovers that her blindness just might be the key to her escape, but she and her tormentors must wait until dark to play out this classic thriller’s chilling conclusion. SATURDAY FOOD DISTRIBUTION
8 a.m., Bridging The Gap, 19 1st Avenue, Newnan
Free weekly drive-thru food pantry. Boxes typically include frozen meat, fresh fruits and produce, dairy, bread and desserts. First come, first served. Registration is required on site the day of distribution.

SENOIA FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., 40 Travis Street, Senoia
Locally-sourced Farmer’s Market, every Saturday.

PEACHTREE CITY MARKET
9 a.m.- 1 p.m., Aberdeen Village Shopping Center, Aberdeen Parkway, Peachtree City
Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.

SERENBE FARMERS MARKET
9 a.m.- 1 p.m., The Grange Green, 10640 Serenbe Lane, Chattahoochee Hills
The Serenbe Farmers Market hosts Growers, Artisans, Craft-makers, and Healthy Food Producers. Parking is available along Serenbe Lane in Grange.

26TH ANNUAL HUMMINGBIRD FESTIVAL
10 a.m.-5 p.m., Downtown Hogansville
This two-day festival has nearly 200 arts, crafts and artesian snack booths. Live music and food trucks on Commerce St. both days, with additional food trucks on East Main Street. Iron P Homestead Zoo will also have a large petting zoo at the festival.

THE SHARPSBURG MARKET
10 a.m.-2 p.m., 105 Main Street, Sharpsburg
Bring family and friends to enjoy the Sharpsburg Market. It’s hosted by Team Hungry (student-led nonprofit) to cultivate community. Attendees will find a collection of local vendors with all kinds of wonderful goods for you to browse. Come and enjoy your Saturday in this gem of a town nestled not far from East Coweta High School.

9TH ANNUAL MAGNOLIA FINE ARTS FESTIVAL
10 a.m.-7 p.m., Drake Field, 155 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City
A Celebration of the Arts! Magnolia Arts Festival is the largest fine arts festival in Fayette County. Come enjoy the various disciplines of art and artists. Free event, family-friendly, food, artist market, demos and children’s area.

GREAT SOUTH HARLEY-DAVIDSON’S TRUNK OR TREAT

13 STORIES HAUNTED HOUSE KIDS DAYTIME LIGHTS ON FUN DAY
11 a.m.-3 p.m., 320 Temple Avenue, Suite A, Newnan
13 Stories Haunted House welcomes all families with children. If you love horror or would like to have the haunt experience without the scares, come out to our lights on kids day and trunk or treat!. This will be a no scare fun day in which our actors will not be in makeup and will just hand out goodies! $5 per kid! Includes the bounce house and lights on tour as well as CANDY. Costumes are welcome. There will be snacks available as well as other activities!

WILDLIFE AND NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS
1-3 p.m., Chattahoochee Bend State Park, 425 Bobwhite Way, Newnan • 770-254-7271
Come to the Park and bring a camera. Meet with our Naturalist and learn how to take photos of wildlife and nature with your camera or cell phone. Take some amazing photos. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Bring water. Limited to 30 participants. $5 per person.

SPIRITS & SPICE FESTIVAL
2-7 p.m., Downtown Newnan
It’s time to eat, drink, and get spooky! Hosted by Main Street Newnan. Event attendees will be able to get their “boos” on by walking the Downtown Spirits Trail and purchasing specialty cocktails at different participating locations, spice things up by tasting numerous types of chilis at the Chili Cook-Off, and have some skele-fun on the Twisted Trolley Tour ride. The event will feature live music, a craft market, and activities for the kids. This event is eerie-sistible for all ages! Live music by Candler Hobbs with Captain and the Kid from 2-4 p.m., followed by The Band Stringfield from 5-7 p.m.

MOVIE AT THE WADSWORTH

PUMPKINS IN THE PARK
4-6:30 p.m., Newnan High Practice Field, 79 Armory Road, Newnan
This is the 8th Annual Pumpkins in the Park and this family-friendly event is hosted by Foundation Christian Church. It features: Free pumpkins & decorating for the first 750 kids (ages birth – 12th grade); Costume contest with prizes in two categories; Fun inflatables for Pre-K and up to enjoy; Corn hole tournament for some friendly competition (with a prize!); Free raffle with great prizes; Food trucks offering a variety of snacks and meals for purchase; and Free ice cream from our Foundation Ice Cream Truck.
