FRIDAY, AUGUST 22

IN-PERSON MEGA PASS SALES
8 am, 2025 Kiwanis Coweta County Fair, Four Locations
In-person Mega Pass Sales for the 2025 Kiwanis Coweta County Fair is underway at four locations in Newnan. The Mega Pass gives Fair Attendees an unlimited ride armband to be used once any day during the fair from Sept. 18-28, 2025. You’ll receive both admission to the fair and the unlimited ride armband for only $30 – a savings of $15 on Fridays and Saturdays and $10 Sundays to Thursdays. Mega Passes must be purchased prior to the start of the fair. The locations are:
• Arnall Grocery Company – 32 East Washington Street, Newnan
• Coweta County Extension/4-H – 255 Pine Road, Newnan
• Keith Ross Insurance Agency – 41 Farmer Street #103, Newnan
• Summit Family YMCA – 1765 Highway 34 East, Newnan

ANNUAL FIRST RESPONDER APPRECIATION BREAKFAST
8 am, Westhill Newnan Crossing, 285 Summerlin Boulevard, Newnan
Join the folks at Westhill for a morning of gratitude, good food, and great company as they honor the dedicated first responders who serve and protect this community every day. CHILDREN’S CRAFT: PRINTMAKING

SERENBE FARMERS AND ARTISTS MARKET

This weekly market partners with quality vendors including growers, artisans, craftmakers and healthy food producers. The market is filled with fresh produce, delicious foods, fine arts and crafts.

BREATH + SOUND WITH UTE & EMILY

In collaboration with Emily Bryson of SoundLight Self-Discovery, True Balance Center for Breath and Bodywork is excited to bring Breathwork and Sound Therapy together for a powerful therapeutic experience. Combining Sound Healing and Breathwork reduces stress and tension, relaxes the body, enhances concentration, and boosts self-awareness. Additionally, it can help with sleep disorders, alleviating depression, and strengthening the immune system. This workshop includes Breathwork, which is a diaphragmatic circular breathing technique that helps release tension in the body associated with repressed emotions, led by Ute Anonsen, Founder of True Balance. Emily will then guide us through a deeply restorative Sound Journey with crystal bowls and song, to assist in release and reflection. Expect to leave feeling lighter and more connected with your Body, Mind and Soul.

WRITING WORKSHOP WITH JILL EVANS

Please join the Hometown Novel Writers Association and special guest Jill Evans, president of the Atlanta Writers Club and a trustee of the Carnegie Library, as she discusses research and how it’s not just for non-fiction or historical fiction. This session will give you the sources and methods to improve your writing, whatever your genre. You will learn how to approach research for character, plot, and setting (interiority vs. sensory), as well as techniques and resources for crafting the best details. All writers are welcome. Fun for all ages, sessions last only 15 minutes. You don’t have to be an entomologist. We’ll have Master Gardener Volunteers available to help, and it only takes 15 minutes to contribute. Show up between 11 am and 1 pm, bring the kids, and help us help the pollinators!

SLEEPY HOLLOW AUDITIONS
