Yamaha Celebrates 2026 Scholarship Recipients

Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America (YMMC) recently awarded a total of $25,000 in college scholarships to students who are children or dependents of full-time YMMC employees. The annual scholarship program was created to support the educational goals of employees’ children as the pursue post-secondary education. This year, 10 students were selected to receive scholarships through the program.
YMMC’s scholarship program is funded through the company’s recycling fund, which turns everyday sustainability efforts into meaningful support. Through the recycling fund, materials collected through YMMC’s recycling initiatives help provide scholarship opportunities for students to continue their education. “Each year, this scholarship program gives us a chance to recognize outstanding students and the Yamaha
families who have supported them along the way,” said Bob Brown, President and CEO of YMMC. “These recipients have worked hard to reach this point, and we are proud to celebrate their accomplishments. We are excited to see what they achieve in the future and the positive impact they will make as future leaders in our community.”
YMMC’s scholarship program began in 2002. Since its start, the company has awarded 207 scholarships totaling more than $500,000 to help students further their education. The program reflects YMMC’s continued commitment to education, sustainability, and supporting the families of its team members.
This year’s scholarship recipients include:

• Jeremiah Porter, student at Alabama A&M University, parent Reginald Porter
• Eerae Lee, student at Georgia Tech, parent Soonjae Lee
• Ashley Shearer, student at Lee University, parent Todd Shearer
• Taylor McKinstry, student at Kennesaw State University, parent Orantes McKinstry
• Brock Thater, student at Georgia Southern University, parent Todd Thater
• Sydney Maranzano, student at University of Georgia, parent Jeremy Maranzano
• Anniston Dodson, student at Auburn University, parent Justin Dodson
• Jekrya Bell, student at Fort Valley State University, parent Jeffery Bell
• Ajalin Beadles, student at Andrew College, parent Cheneria Bailey
