CCF suggests creative ideas for Holiday Giving

From Coweta Community Foundation Press Release
The Coweta Community Foundation is a great fan of creative gift ideas for the holidays, and this year, they’re suggesting some possibilities that will have an influence in Coweta County long after the last gift has been opened and the last Christmas tree branches have all disappeared.
Are you a Senoia resident or someone who enjoys visiting this Coweta town? A donation to the Coweta Street Park Initiative (CSPI) will help transform an existing public space within the city of Senoia, creating an innovative, welcoming, and accessible green space for those of all ages and economic statuses. The existing park is sparse and deteriorating. This public-private community-wide initiative will create a healthy, vibrant green space revitalizing the north side of Senoia, expanding access to multigenerational families, children with disabilities, and the entire community.
From now until December 31, 2024, every dollar donated to the CSPI, up to a maximum of $3,000, will be matched by a generous private donor. You can make a gift to the fund by visiting cowetafoundation.org and selecting the Senoia Coweta Street Park fund under the “Donate” tab. Gifts may be made in memory or in honor of someone.
On April 19, 2025, the Foundation will host the third annual Coweta Grand Prix. This event is presented by Yamaha, and visitors will experience the thrill of high-speed racing as soapbox drivers from around the region compete for the grand title. The event aims to help local at-risk youth while promoting STEM education and will support local students through the Yamaha Downhill Dreams Academy, where youth have the opportunity to build and race their own cars. And the event is not just for youth, as there is an adult division as well. To donate to the Coweta Grand Prix in memory or in honor of someone, visit https://www.cowetafoundation.org/coweta-grand-prix/ and select “Donate.”
Any Coweta women who would like to increase their giving in the year ahead are encouraged to join 100 Women Who Care Coweta County. This group consists of women who gather four times a year for a one-hour meeting to learn about local charities and donate $100 each quarter to a charitable cause selected by the group. It is a great fit for women who reside in Coweta County and may not have time in their busy schedule to volunteer but want to help those in need and are willing to commit to one hour every three months. The group is also a good fit for those involved with other groups but who are interested in meeting other women and learning about philanthropic needs and opportunities in Coweta County. More information about the group is available by visiting cowetafoundation.org, clicking on the “What We Do” tab, and selecting 100 Women Who Care.
