Thousands gathered under clear Georgia skies on July 4th for the beloved Fireworks Over Newnan, a 39-year tradition celebrating community, patriotism, and the spirit of service. The event was presented by the Rotary Club of Newnan in partnership with the City of Newnan and Coweta County.

Ashley Collins, President & CEO of Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity, served as the Master of Ceremonies, welcoming families to the Newnan High School lower field for an evening of live music, local food trucks, and the annual “Most Patriotic Kid Contest.” The event culminated in a spectacular fireworks display that lit up the skyline as attendees cheered and reflected on the freedoms they cherish.

“It was an honor to help lead a tradition that brings our community together to celebrate what makes Newnan and America special: neighbors supporting neighbors,” said Collins. “This event is a reminder of the power of community, especially as we work to ensure everyone has a safe, decent place to call home.”

This year’s Most Patriotic Kid Contest gave children the unique honor of leading the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance before the fireworks began, highlighting the next generation’s role in preserving freedom and community pride.
Fireworks Over Newnan would not be possible without the dedicated volunteers, sponsors, and first responders who ensure the event remains a safe, welcoming tradition for all.
