Newnan Songwriters Festival set for Friday, Saturday

The Newnan Cultural Arts Commission will present its first Newnan Songwriters Festival on Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1.

The Newnan Songwriters Festival will be a family-friendly, two-day event featuring national and local songwriters with the headlining event a concert in Wadsworth Auditorium on Friday. The Songwriters in the Round concert will feature David Ryan Harris, Angie Aparo, Alex Guthrie, and Davin McCoy. It starts at 7:30 p.m.

The second day of the Festival will have local songwriters at various businesses around downtown Newnan. Confirmed are Sarah and Joey at Leaf and Bean starting at 5 p.m. and John Hensley and Liberty Road at The Bays at 8 p.m.

Wristbands are available to purchase through the City of Newnan’s Leisure Services PAGE under the Activities tab. Wristbands cost $30 and include entry into Friday’s concert at Wadsworth. Wristbands are not required for entry to any associated businesses on Saturday but will earn festival participants specials at each location.
