From Special Reports

For many patients receiving urgent medical care, the need for blood doesn’t take a summer vacation. That’s why we need donors like you! As a thank-you for coming to the Senoia area blood drive at the Senoia United Methodist Church on August 5, 2024, you’ll receive a $20 Amazon.com Gift Card by email (restrictions apply).

The blood drive on August 5 will be from 1-6 pm at the Senoia UMC, located at 229 Bridge Street. It is at the intersection of Seavy and Bridge Streets. Please plan to enter through the front of the sanctuary on Bridge Street in order to give blood.

Blood donors are needed now to help ensure patients have access to lifesaving blood. Give blood and make a real difference to someone in need. Schedule Now.

Please make an appointment now by either signing up online (http://www.redcrossblood.org/give) or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). NOTE: If the appointment schedule is full, walk-ins may not be able to donate. Then simply come to the blood drive at the Senoia UMC before your reserved time on Monday, August 5th.

The Senoia Optimist Club and the Senoia United Methodist Church work together to host the blood drives every 3 months on the first Monday of the 3rd month. After the upcoming drive on August 5th, the next drive is scheduled for November 4th.

Please sign up as soon as possible to be able to make a life-saving donation on August 5th. If you are unable to give, you are encouraged to notify others who may be able to donate. One blood donation can help save up to three lives.

The “famous” grilled cheese sandwiches served at the Senoia blood drives are planned to be served again at the upcoming blood drive, along with the snacks and drinks provided by the Red Cross. Come and enjoy!

The need is constant. The gratification is instant. Give Blood. ™
