FRIDAY, APRIL 25

CHILDREN’S CRAFT: EARTH DAY ROCK PAINTING
10-11 am, Newnan Carnegie Library, 1 LaGrange Street, Newnan • 770-683-1347
Partnering with Keep Newnan Beautiful, attendees will be painting rocks for Earth Day! You can paint rocks to display in your garden or around the community for others to find. RANGERS GIVE A HOOT, DO YOU?
3-4 pm, Chattahoochee Bend State Park, 425 Bob White Way, Newnan • 770-254-7271
Come and learn about Georgia’s most common owl, the Screech Owl. We will be going over details about its habitat, anatomy, and diet, followed by the dissection of owl pellets. Spots are limited, call the office to reserve your spot. $7 per person and $5 for parking.

SENOIA ALIVE AFTER FIVE
5-9 pm, Downtown Senoia
The event features live music performances by local musicians, food trucks, and vendors selling handcrafted artisan goods, jewelry, artwork and much more! During Senoia Alive After Five, many of the shops and restaurants in the downtown area stay open late, offering special deals and discounts. This is a great opportunity to shop local after usual business hours!

SOUTH AFRICAN WINE TASTINGS
6:30 pm, The Classic Market & Wine Shoppe, 15 Main Street, Suite 1B, Senoia • 770-727-9140
The Classic Market features South African Wines for its April wine tasting series. Cost is $35 per person and includes 6 (2 ounce) pours of wines and charcuterie food pairings. Must RSVP and pay in advance.

CHOOSE HEALTH: COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

Dr. Pam Thompson, PsyD, will be speaking on mental health as part of this 2025 series. Dr. Thompson brings over 25 years of experience as a psychologist in hospital, clinic, and private practice settings. She’s also the founder of Building Bridges to Better Lives, P.C., author of Surviving Mama: Overcoming Strained Mother-Daughter Relationships, and a passionate speaker on mental health and wellness. This free event will explore proactive strategies to help our community age well and thrive, including: 1. Habits to manage depression and anxiety; 2. The connection between nutrition and mental health; 3. Nutritional resources that support emotional well-being and 4. Tools to renew your mind and promote transformation from the inside out.

Three Jewish widows meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands’ graves. Ida is sweet tempered and ready to begin a new life; Lucille is a feisty embodiment of the girl who just wants to have fun; and Doris is priggish and judgmental, particularly when Sam the butcher enters the scene. He meets the widows while visiting his wife’s grave. Doris and Lucille squash the budding romance between Sam and Ida. 10TH ANNUAL ABBY’S ANGELS RAINBOW RUN & FAMILY FUN DAY
8:30 am-Noon, Coweta County Fairgrounds, 275 Pine Road, Newnan
Join us for the 10th anniversary celebration of Abby’s colorful life supporting the impactful work of Abby’s Angels Foundation! This is a special fun filled morning full of love and laughter! The Rainbow Run is a non-timed COLOR 5K that is enjoyed by all activity levels and ages! Enjoy time with your family and friends as you run/walk along a beautiful nature surrounded route in the Coweta County Fairgrounds property. SUNDAY, APRIL 27

TASTE OF SENOIA
1-4 pm, Downtown Senoia
The Taste of Senoia, hosted since 2010 by the Senoia Optimist Club, is scheduled for Sunday, April 27th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in downtown Senoia rain or shine. Local restaurants / eateries will provide you with delicious food “tastes” either at their downtown properties or at the Senoia Farmers’ Market, located at 40 Travis Street. In addition, food trucks offering delicious items will be set up at the Farmers’ Market. Food tickets can be purchased for $1 each from the Optimists at the Senoia Masonic Lodge, the Senoia Farmers’ Market, and at a tent set up on the sidewalk near City Hall. Restaurants determine what they will serve and the number of tickets required for each item. There will be a premier raffle for a 7-day stay at Club Wyndham Vacation Resorts in Destin, Florida.
