FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 29

PLAID FRIDAY
10 a.m.-6 p.m., Downtown Newnan
The name “Plaid Friday” celebrates the idea of LOCAL! Plaid Friday is the relaxing and enjoyable alternative to the big box store “Black Friday,” and is designed to promote both local and independently owned businesses during the holidays. Wear plaid attire during Plaid Friday and expect to SAVE, as numerous downtown Newnan businesses will offer a significant discount to any customer wearing Plaid clothing!

SWEETLAND ON ICE
Noon-9 p.m., Sweetland Amphitheatre, 110 Smith Street, LaGrange • 706-298-5434
During the winter season, Sweetland Amphitheatre hosts a covered 5,500 square foot open-air ice-skating rink provided and operated by the Sweetland team. Bring your family and friends to enjoy the festive atmosphere, skating for all ages, a spectator section with heaters to enjoy the ice-skating action, and affordable concessions. SANTA ON THE SQUARE & CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL
5-8 p.m., Downtown Newnan
Santa arrives on North Court Square via a Fire Truck and will immediately light the Christmas Tree. Children are invited to sit on Santa’s lap and read him their Christmas list. At the same time, a Christmas Carnival event is happening on the Square with Carnival Games, Live Reindeer, Bounce House, Bubbles and much more. The event is free and open to all ages.

FANTASY IN LIGHTS
6-9:30 p.m., Callaway Gardens, 17617 Highway 27, Pine Mountain
A beloved Christmas tradition shines even brighter this holiday season! Enjoy Fantasy In Lights in two ways: park and ride the Jolly Trolley for a festive journey along the classic seven-mile light show, or drive through the experience in your own car. Both options include access to the walk-through experience in Callaway Christmas Village, where you’ll find Santa & friends, the 40-foot Tree of Traditions Pixel Pine, and a winter wonderland filled with twinkling lights, oversized ornaments, and more! SENOIA FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., 40 Travis Street, Senoia
Locally-sourced Farmer’s Market, every Saturday.

PEACHTREE CITY MARKET
9 a.m.- 1 p.m., Aberdeen Village Shopping Center, Aberdeen Parkway, Peachtree City
Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY
10 a.m.-6 p.m., Downtown Newnan
Shop Small Y’all! Small Business Saturday is an annual shopping tradition dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. Small Business Saturday was founded by American Express in 2010 and is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Lots of sales can be expected in downtown Newnan during the day.

Every Saturday from now until December 7, the legendary village of Nottingham will open it’s gates for a fantastic Fall Fling Festival! Shop for treasures in the artisan shops and stalls, sample delicious food and drink, and be amazed and entertained by the talented acrobats, jugglers and comedians in the lanes and on the stages. THE NUTCRACKER

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING & FUN RUN

The 2024 Christmas Star Run is a holiday event your family will love! The 5K/1-mile fun run is kicked off by our annual Christmas tree lighting. Join us the Saturday evening after Thanksgiving – the tree lighting is at 5:30 p.m. and the Run takes off at 6. Participants will receive a t-shirt and “glow wear” and are encouraged to dress in festive holiday lights attire. All proceeds go to our programs for children and families in crisis. The Newnan Coweta History Center hosts Cookies and Photos with Santa. There will be refreshments and photos are $20 per family. Photos on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sorry no pets.
