PREP FOOTBALL
Coweta County high school football teams in action this weekend.

OKTOBERFEST
5-10 p.m., Downtown Newnan
The popular Oktoberfest Beer Tasting event returns to downtown Newnan. Tickets are now on sale at mainstreetnewnan.com. The tickets are $30 per person and only 500 tickets will be available to the general public. The Oktoberfest celebration is designed to bring beer enthusiasts downtown to enjoy a night of tasting Georgia craft brews as over 30+ downtown business participate. This year, Main Street Newnan is partnering with Line Creek Brewing The Reserve for a special after-party from 8-10 p.m. Ticket holders will receive two complimentary beers at The Reserve.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5

SATURDAY FOOD DISTRIBUTION
8 a.m., Bridging The Gap, 19 1st Avenue, Newnan
Free weekly drive-thru food pantry. Boxes typically include frozen meat, fresh fruits and produce, dairy, bread and desserts. First come, first served. Registration is required on site the day of distribution.

SENOIA FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., 40 Travis Street, Senoia
Locally-sourced Farmer’s Market, every Saturday.

FALL FESTIVAL VACCINE CLINIC
8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., The Help Spay/Neuter Clinic, 12 The Crescent, Newnan • 770-304-7911

THE COTTON FAIR
9 a.m.-5 p.m., 18830 Highway 85, Gay
The fall edition of The Cotton Fair is set for Saturday, Oct 5th and Sunday, October 6th. The Cotton Fair is an arts, crafts, and antiques show located in Gay, GA. Over 300 artisans from all over the country will gather on our grounds. They have wonderful items in store for you and can’t wait for you to take them home! Do not bring pets for the safety comfort of all our guests. Service animals ONLY. Parking is free and on a first come, first parked basis. Come early on Saturday to help avoid the traffic or visit Sunday which tends to be slightly less crowded. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for seniors and active duty military and children 10-and-under is free.

PEACHTREE CITY MARKET
9 a.m.- 1 p.m., Aberdeen Village Shopping Center, Aberdeen Parkway, Peachtree City
Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.

SERENBE FARMERS MARKET
9 a.m.- 1 p.m., The Grange Green, 10640 Serenbe Lane, Chattahoochee Hills
The Serenbe Farmers Market hosts Growers, Artisans, Craft-makers, and Healthy Food Producers. Parking is available along Serenbe Lane in Grange.

DOWNTOWN NEWNAN MARKET DAY
10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Courthouse Square, downtown Newnan
Hosted by Main Street Newnan on the first Saturday of every month. The Market features over 55 unique spaces, with a variety of one-of-a-kind gift items. Market Day favorites include: fresh locally grown produce, honey, jams & jellies, pottery, art, hand-woven baskets, leather products, etc.

SPOOKY STORIES AND GAMES

Let’s create spooky, silly Mad Libs together at the Carnegie Library! After our terrifying tales, families are invited to stay for board games and puzzles. During this event, we will be reading “scary” stories with the lights dimmed, which may not be suitable for all young children, although all ages are welcomed to attend. Registration is required. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6

FERST ANNUAL LEWIS GRIZZARD & CATFISH MEMORIAL BIKE RIDE
8 a.m., Old Moreland Mill, 7 Main Street, Moreland
Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. The ride begins 8 a.m. at the Moreland Mill. Each ride registration sends an age-appropriate book every month for a year to a child from birth to five years old in Coweta County. You may pay your registration fee and receive a commemorative t-shirt. If you choose the virtual option, you may register, ride any length before the first Sunday in October, post pictures on Facebook, and a t-shirt will be mailed to you. Cue sheets for a ride beginning at the Moreland Mill will be available. Lunch is provided at the end of the ride. Excellent rest stops, route takes riders through beautiful, rural Coweta County.
