2023 Citizen of the Year Nominations deadline extended

Nominations for the 2023 Coweta County Citizen of the Year are now being accepted and the deadline has been extended.
The Kiwanis Clubs of Coweta, which sponsor the event, said the nomination deadline has been extended to Friday, December 2. The original deadline was November 16.
The 2023 event is set for Thursday, January 26 at the Newnan Centre. Sponsorships are available for this annual event for $500, a table of 10 is $400 and individual tickets are $50.
The Citizen of the Year award recognizes an individual with outstanding leadership and citizenship within our community. The nominee will have demonstrated exemplary vision, civic pride, and a strong commitment to a better Coweta through volunteerism and community involvement. Last year’s winner was Norma Haynes.
The nominee should live in Coweta County and his/her civic and volunteer activities must be centered in Coweta and the surrounding area. Consideration will be given to those who demonstrate leadership and performance in multiple areas of community service over a period of years.
