Featured Musical Group: The Expectations

The Paper’s monthly music column – Local and Live Music – is a detailed look at area venues and their respective calendars loaded with musical guests.
This month, The Paper would like to introduce to our readers an area musical group – The Expectations – that has been playing the Coweta County circuit recently.
Hailing from Atlanta, the Expectations formed after meeting through private music teachers. The band is made up of lead vocalist Maddie Wyman, drummer Riley Bozeman, and siblings Dominic & Olivia Landivar as the guitarist and bassist, respectively.
From ‘Valerie’ by Amy Winehouse to ‘Black Dog’ by Led Zeppelin, the band plays a variety of genres that includes rock, blues, soul & alternative music.
The band is in the process of writing and recording their original songs. Some of the tunes are energetic guitar-driven pieces while others are wailing blues jams. The band lists Led Zeppelin, Jack White, Stevie Ray Vaughan and No Doubt as their influences.
