Holiday fun at The Avenue Peachtree City will kick off on Black Friday, November 24 with a special giveaway event. Guests shopping at The Avenue Peachtree City will receive a free survival tote bag filled with store hours, deals and essential goodies for surviving the craziest of shopping days. Guests can pick up for their survival tote, while supplies last, at the mall management office, located between Friends Table and the public restrooms.
PLAID FRIDAY

The name “Plaid Friday” celebrates the idea of LOCAL! The plaid pattern represents weaving the individual threads of small businesses together to create a strong fabric that celebrates the diversity and creativity of independent businesses. Plaid Friday is the relaxing and enjoyable alternative to the big box store “Black Friday,” and is designed to promote both local and independently owned businesses during the holidays. Wear plaid attire during Plaid Friday and expect to SAVE, as numerous downtown businesses will offer a significant discount to any customer wearing Plaid clothing!

Then step into the Callaway Christmas Village, where a forest of twinkling lights, gigantic snowflakes and larger-than-life ornaments enchant your whole family. SANTA ON THE SQUARE & CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL
5-8 p.m. in downtown Newnan
The annual Santa on the Square event – hosted by Main Street Newnan – features Santa arriving downtown in a Fire Truck, and will immediately light the Christmas tree located on the Court House Square. After the lighting of the Christmas tree, children are invited to sit on Santa’s lap and read him their Christmas list! The City of Newnan’s Leisure Services Department is bringing extra Christmas cheer and fun to this event beginning at 5 p.m. In conjunction with Main Street’s Santa on the Square, Leisure Services is hosting a Christmas Carnival packed with games and a special visit by Santa’s live reindeer!
SWEETLAND ON ICE

During our winter season, Sweetland Amphitheatre hosts a covered 5,500 square foot open-air ice-skating rink provided and operated by the Sweetland team. Bring your family and friends to enjoy the festive atmosphere, skating for all ages, a spectator section with heaters to enjoy the ice-skating action, and affordable concessions. SENOIA FARMERS MARKET

It is a community-oriented marketplace that features a variety of local farmers, food producers, artisans, and craftsmen. You can find a wide selection of fresh produce, including fruits and vegetables, herbs, and flowers. There are also local food producers selling homemade baked goods, jams and jellies, honey, and other artisanal products. The market also features handmade crafts, such as pottery, jewelry, and textiles. Visitors can enjoy live music, food trucks, and other family-friendly activities. EVERY Saturday.

This market brings approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats, honey, eggs, prepared foods and so much more. It’s the perfect place to find the consummate gift for the foodie in your life and visitors will also find live music going on.
SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY / NEWNAN

Small Business Saturday is an annual shopping tradition dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. Small Business Saturday was founded by American Express in 2010 and is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This event supports the local economy and promotes the community.

Guests can enjoy the best deals when they support locally-owned businesses on Small Business Saturday at The Avenue. Shoppers can browse several small businesses including Barnett & Co., The Nest, Souls by LT and Southern Goods, a local holiday pop-up, who has returned for the holiday season and is now open in a space between Great American Cookies and Positano Pizza Napoletana through December 31.

Enjoy a evening two-mile hike on our Riverside Trail to the tower and back. If we listen and look closely, we will see and hear critters we usually would not during the day. PHOTOS WITH SANTA
5-7 p.m. at The Avenue, 239 City Circle, Peachtree City
On November 27 and every Monday leading up to Christmas, guests will have the opportunity to capture photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who have been celebrating the holidays at the center for over 20 years. After capturing a photo with the holiday couple, guests can head to experience an additional inflatable holiday backdrop located between the Christmas Tree and fab’rik. Photos are self-taken and offered at no cost, but guests are encouraged to make donations in support of the Fayette Humane Society. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos at the Christmas Tree outside of Souls by LT on November 27, December 4, December 11 and December 18.

40TH ANNUAL CAN-A-THON

The 40th Annual Can-A-Thon benefitting the Coweta Community Food Pantry is underway and is sponsored by the Newnan Junior Service League. This event helps stock the food pantry for an entire year! Local schools and businesses in our community are collecting cans and monetary donations. The NJSL hopes you’ll consider cleaning out your pantries or picking up a few extra non-perishable foods at the store to donate at either of two locations. Join the Centre Strings for its Winter Concert, an evening of classical music and holiday favorites. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Centre Strings is a student/community string orchestra dedicated to musical and interpersonal excellence.
