FRIDAY, JULY 26

3RD ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL BASH
4-7 p.m., Coweta County Fairgrounds, 275 Pine Road, Newnan
Hosted by the Tim Stout Group, this event is completely free. They are giving away 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies, food, sweet treats, games, etc. All while supplies lasts!! There will also be a young entrepreneurs market on site. Crafts made and SOLD by kids and kids only. This will be the only cost at the event.

RACE FOR ELLIE & FRIENDS FAMILY FUN NIGHT
6 p.m., Bethea Family Farm, 504 Clearwater Road, Sharpsburg
1 mile color run with live music, food trucks, inflatables, silent auction and more. All proceeds go to meet the needs of Ellie, Emory, Eliana and Ruby Joy. Their mission is supporting Special Needs Children for God’s Glory. Walk-up registrations will be accepted beginning at 5:30 p.m. T-shirts available on first-come, first-served basis.

BROADWAY KARAOKE
7-11 p.m., Newnan Theatre Company, 24 1st Avenue, Newnan • 770-683-6282
Come to NTC and sing your favorite Broadway tunes – karaoke style! Or, if you prefer, you can come and watch the fun! All tickets are $10 and available at the door. Snacks, sodas, and beer & wine will be available for purchase.

STAR 2024: Shrek The Musical

Join the folks at Whimzical Cafe for a night of laughs hosted by the hilarious, Atlanta-based, Yoshee So, featuring Ty Colgate, Ro Dellagrazie, and Eric Dowis! Full bar and dinner menu will be available! Don’t miss the party!!

COWETA COUNTY FARMER’S MARKET

Your favorite farm families and vendors return alongside exciting new additions, all eager to meet you at the Coweta County Farmer’s Market! In addition, Coweta County UGA Extension’s Family & Consumer Science Agent will join us this season with fun cooking demos, food safety tips and children’s activities. Plus, don’t miss the chance to meet your new furry best friend, as Coweta County Animal Services will be on-site offering pet adoptions.

SENOIA FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., 40 Travis Street, Senoia
Locally-sourced Farmer’s Market, every Saturday.

PEACHTREE CITY MARKET
9 a.m.- 1 p.m., Aberdeen Village Shopping Center, Aberdeen Parkway, Peachtree City
Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.

SERENBE FARMERS MARKET
9 a.m.- 1 p.m., The Grange Green, 10640 Serenbe Lane, Chattahoochee Hills
The Serenbe Farmers Market hosts Growers, Artisans, Craft-makers, and Healthy Food Producers. Parking is available along Serenbe Lane in Grange.

THE LOCALS MARKET
10 a.m.-4 p.m., Greenville Street Park, 51 Greenville Street, Downtown Newnan
It’s a great time for the whole community. Free event with local vendors, businesses, food trucks, activities, live music and more.

BREATH + SOUND WORKSHOP
11 a.m.- 2 p.m., True Balance Center for Breath and Bodywork
Join Ute and Emily for an immersive breath and sound experience inside our tranquil downtown studio.This workshop includes Breathwork led by Ute, which is a diaphragmatic circular breathing technique that helps release tension in the body associated with repressed emotions. Emily will then guide us through a deeply restorative Sound Journey with crystal bowls and song, to assist in release and reflection. 3RD ANNUAL BACK TO SCHOOL BASH & BACKPACK GIVEAWAY

Hosted by Coweta Family Connection and Caring Hearts of Georgia Health Services. Their goal is to support 800 students in the community.

N.I.T.W.I.T.S. FREE IMPROV WORKSHOP

WINE FLIGHTS AT NIGHT

This is a self-led, drop in tasting. No prior ticket purchasing required. You will pay when you get here and select your wines! $10 for 4, 2 oz pours of a mixture of red, white, and bubbly wines. You will be given a sheet with types of wines and descriptions of each, choose from the list, and be served your flight!

Featuring the Zach & Terry Jones Memorial – $4,000 to win Hobby Race. Classes scheduled are Hot Shot, Mini Stock, Bomber, Hobby, Modified, 604 and Limited. Pit gates open at 3 p.m., grandstands open at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6 p.m. Adults $15 for grandstands (kids 12-and-under free); Adults $30 for pits (kids 6-12 $15, 5 and under free).

CAMPFIRE PROGRAM

Meet at the Fire Ring in front of the park office for smores and more. Enjoy time with family and friends. Tell or just listen to spooky stories, sing campfire songs and view the stars. Limited to 40 participants. Call the park office to register. $5 parking pass.

SUNDAY, JULY 28

PLAY FOR THE PETS
8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., Hunter Recreational Complex, 2970 Highway 16 East, Sharpsburg
It’s for the animals! Charity fundraiser volleyball tournament for M/W 2’s. Join the Newnan Coweta Humane Society and Rogue Pineapple Volleyball to raise money for cats and dogs in south metro Atlanta! 50% of event proceeds will go directly to NCHS! Our goal is $5,000 to be raised! The NCHS will be bringing dogs and cats to the park for adoption on event days!

SOLAR VIEWING
11 a.m.- 2 p.m., Chattahoochee Bend State Park, 425 Bobwhite Way, Newnan • 770-254-7271
Come check out the sky at Chattahoochee Bend State Park with our friend Klaus. He will have a telescope set up and teach you all about the solar views from the park. Parking pass $5.

NEWNAN HIGH SCHOOL DEDICATION
2-4 p.m., Newnan High School, 190 LaGrange Street, Newnan
Come and celebrate the grand opening of the rebuilt and restored Newnan High School. Dedication begins at 2 p.m. in Max Bass Gym. Tours are from 2-4 p.m. After the NHS campus suffered catastrophic damage in the 2021 tornado, a promise was made to rebuild and restore all school facilities lost at 190 LaGrange Street where the school has stood since 1952. On July 28 – 3 years, 4 months and 3 days after – NHS invites students, alumni, parents and the whole community to come and see it for yourselves.
