CHILDREN’S CRAFT: OCEAN

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure. “Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek….” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. MEMORIAL DAY SCAVENGER HUNT
8 am-5 pm, Chattahoochee Bend State Park, 425 Bob White Way, Newnan • 770-254-7271
(Ages 5-15 years old) Enjoy a beautiful hike while looking for the American flag. Find (1) turn it into the Visitor Center to receive a memorial day goody bag. $5 parking. Space is limited, contact the office to reserve your spot.
SENOIA FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 am – 1 pm, 40 Travis Street, Senoia
Locally-sourced Farmer’s Market, every Saturday. Fresh produce, baked goods, local artisans and much more.
VETERANS MEMORIAL FLAG PLACEMENT
9 a.m., Coweta Veterans Club, 130 Veterans Club Road, Newnan • 770-251-6949
Volunteers are welcome to come out and assist placing flags on veterans’ graves. Meet at the Coweta Veterans Club to receive maps of the graves as well as coffee and donuts. The groups will then go to both Oak Hill and Forest Lawn Cemeteries. Flags to be given out at the cemeteries. If possible, bring a screwdriver to poke holes in the ground for flags.
PEACHTREE CITY MARKET
9 am- 1 pm, Aberdeen Village Shopping Center, Aberdeen Parkway, Peachtree City
Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.
SERENBE FARMERS AND ARTISTS MARKET
9 am-1 pm, 10640 Serenbe Lane, Chattahoochee Hills
This weekly market partners with quality vendors including growers, artisans, craftmakers and healthy food producers. The market is filled with fresh produce, delicious foods, fine arts and crafts.
THE LOCALS MARKET

The Locals Market is a great time for the whole family! Enjoy all that the small businesses have to offer, eat some great food and have fun with our free children’s activities!
MEMORIAL DAY DUCKY RACE

Lord willing and if the creek rises we will be hosting our annual Memorial Day Ducky Race! The race will be held at the Wild Turkey Creek behind the Visitor Center. Ducks are a $1 each, and can be rented at the Visitor Center. $1 plus $5 parking.
MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION AT MARIMAC LAKES
5 pm, 148 Pylant Street, Senoia
Everyone is invited to the annual Memorial Day Celebration in Senoia! It’s an evening filled with food trucks, adult beverages, live music, DJ, kid’s activities, and fireworks. This is a free event and open to the public. Please no outside food/drinks, coolers, and tents. The park opens at 5 pm with events and fun for everyone! Kids Area Under the Pines, Food Vendors, Adult Beverages. The Duncan Brothers Band begins at 7:30 pm on Main Stage with Fireworks at 9:30.

SENOIA MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY OF REMEMBRANCE
9 am, Senoia City Cemetery, Downtown Senoia
Please join us as we come together as a community to honor our nation’s brave service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. It is a time to reflect on the cost of freedom and to honor the families of those who have lost loved ones in service to their country.
PEACHTREE CITY MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY
10 am, City Hall Fountain, 151 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City
A special ceremony will occur on Memorial Day at the fountain in front of City Hall. Please join them as they pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.
NEWNAN MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY
11 am, Veterans Park, Downtown Newnan
Bring a chair. In case of inclement weather, ceremony will be in the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel. Immediately following the ceremony there will be a free lunch for the public at the Coweta Veterans Club, 130 Veterans Club Road, Newnan.
