Newnan holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Pickleball Expansion

The City of Newnan held a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday (June 17) to mark the official start of construction for a significant expansion of the pickleball courts at the popular House of Pickleball (The Hop).
The expansion will include six new pickleball courts.
Mayor Keith Brady was present for the groundbreaking, along with Council Members Rhodes Shell and Ray DuBose.
“This is exciting as we expand our most popular amenity we have in the City of Newnan,” said Brady. “Pickleball is positive, family-oriented exercise and we thank everyone involved in the project.”
Mayor Brady thanked the citizens, City Council, Coweta County, and the City’s partners in this venture – Headley Construction, Croy Engineering, and Comprehensive Program Services. Representatives from the Newnan Pickleball Association were also present to celebrate the expansion.
