The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Sunday, Nov. 1.

COWETA COUNTY CASES

Coweta County confirmed 5 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday including 0 deaths and 0 hospitalizations. The five new cases were the fewest in a single day since 4 on Oct. 17. The age groups of 25-34 and 45-54 years old each had 2 cases reported Sunday, the highest of the age groups.

To date, Coweta has registered cumulative totals of 3018 cases, 63 deaths and 152 hospitalizations. The overall positive test rate is 7.9 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 7.0 percent.

Single-day highs now for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (66 on Aug. 26); deaths (4 on Aug. 13); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).

GEORGIA CASES

Across the state on Sunday, Georgia confirmed 1192 new cases (down 1373 from Saturday’s totals), only 2 deaths, 21 hospitalizations and 4 ICU admits. Sunday’s case totals keep intact the 78 consecutive days streak with less than 3,000 cases.

Presently, there are 1,405 people in Georgia hospitalized with COVID, down 12 from Saturday’s total.

Overall, Georgia has recorded cumulative totals of 361,982 cases, 7981 deaths, 31,720 hospitalizations and 5961 ICU admits. The overall positive test rate is 9.4 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 7.0 percent.

Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,813 on July 24); deaths (122 on Aug. 11); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (97 on Aug. 12).
