From Coweta County Foundation Press Release

In 2015, the Coweta Community Foundation launched its first Community Service Team. Through the Community Service Team, or CST, the Foundation partners with public, private and home school high school programs that serve Coweta County residents to attract enthusiastic freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors who are service-minded and willing to give back to their community.

Those chosen for the team each year get to explore and connect with nonprofits right here in our community, where they will collaborate closely with local change makers and build meaningful connections. They will also team up with other service-minded students and make new friends, all while making an impact in Coweta County.

The Community Service Team is now beginning its 11th year, and the Foundation will once again offer mentorship and scholarship opportunities to the individuals selected for the team. Meetings will be held at the Newnan-Coweta Chamber, and meetings are just two hours long, held from September to April.

“We’re looking forward to another year of working with these great high school students, and one student will also be awarded a scholarship at the end of the school year,” said Community Outreach Coordinator Leslie Davis. “We hope these same members will become Coweta’s future board members, committee chairs and nonprofit leaders.”

Applications are due by August 31 and are available online by clicking HERE.
