NEWNAN FUMC FALL CHILDREN’S CONSIGNMENT SALE

It’s that time of the year again as the Newnan First United Methodist Preschool and Kindergarten hosts its Fall Children’s Consignment Sale. This is a two-day sale will take place on Friday and Saturday. Saturday’s sale will be half-price. Customers are asked to bring their own shopping bags. And this sale will be cash or check only. The Consignment Sale is a children’s consignment sale that benefits the preschool. The sale offers sizes preemie/NB to size 14-16 for girls and boys, feeding related items, bedding, toys, furniture and accessories, infant gear, books, videos and shoes.

Griffin House Bazaar is a monthly vendor market hosted by Griffin House Newnan! Featuring antiques, vintage, jewelry, local art, food trucks & so much more. Free parking & admission.
HOMESCHOOL: INVASIVE SPECIES OF THE BEND

Join the folks at Chattahoochee Bend State Park to discover the sneaky invasive plants and insects that have popped up. DAY 2 – 2025 KIWANIS COWETA COUNTY FAIR
4 pm-Midnight, Coweta County Fairgrounds and Conference Center, 275 Pine Road, Newnan
It’s Day 2 of the 2025 Kiwanis Coweta County Fair as gates open at 4 pm. Admission is $10 with children 5-and-under free. Ride Armbands are $35. Individual Exhibits and Booths are in Exhibit Hall and Animal Exhibits take place in the Ag Building and Midway. FALL ART WALK
5-9 pm. Downtown Newnan
One of the best ways to kick off the fall season in downtown Newnan is to take part in the festivities of the 2025 Fall Art Walk. This Main Street Newnan event will take place in-and-around the downtown Newnan Courthouse Square. The Art Walk Event is Newnan’s celebration of local art and is hosted twice a year. It allows folks to see art come to life on city’s sidewalks. During the Art Walk, businesses extend their hours to host storefront exhibits and demonstrations curated by a variety of Newnan’s finest artists. Some of the local businesses will have specials and promotions throughout the night.Visitors can expect to stroll through over 25 locations and see the work of at least 40 artists which will display a wide variety of art styles and mediums, including oil on canvas, chalk art, engraving, pottery, photography, jewelry making, fiber arts, performing arts and acrylics. There is no fee for admission to this event.
SENOIA: ALIVE AFTER 5
5-9 pm, Downtown Senoia
It’s the Ice Cream Fest and the September Alive After 5 event in downtown Senoia. The event features live music performances by local musicians, food trucks, and vendors selling handcrafted artisan goods, jewelry, artwork and much more! Many of the shops and restaurants in the downtown area stay open late, offering special deals and discounts. This is a great opportunity to shop local after usual business hours! The event is free.

MURDER MYSTERY

The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery opens its first of three weekends. This is a comedy play where a group of amateur actors, known for their comedic mishaps and poor acting skills, attempt to perform a murder mystery play called “Murder at Checkmate Manor,” with hilarious results due to forgotten lines, collapsing scenery, and general chaos, all while trying to maintain the illusion of a proper theatrical production. Tickets are $28 for adults, $20 for seniors and students, and $15 for children 10-and-under. To purchase tickets, click HERE.

This weekly market partners with quality vendors including growers, artisans, craftmakers and healthy food producers. The market is filled with fresh produce, delicious foods, fine arts and crafts.
KIDS FISHING DERBY
9 am-Noon, Marimac Lakes Park, 140 Pylant Street, Senoia
Hosted by the Senoia Optimist Club. The catch-and-release derby is for youth up to 15 years old. At least one parent / legal guardian must be present with each participating child. Registration begins at 8:30 am. Prizes will be awarded for various categories, including the largest fish and the most fish caught. Participants can also receive other items as well. A limited amount of fishing equipment (including rods-and-reels and bait) will be available from the Senoia Club.

Headlining the Entertainment is the Georgia Untamed Petting Zoo, the McIntyre Circus, a Police K-9 Demonstration, Olivia Handley has a pair of Healthy Cooking Demonstrations and Princesses. Competitions include an Art Contest in Exhibit Hall, the 4-H Horse Sportsmanship in the W.C. Adamson Horse Arena and a fair favorite – the Lumberjack & Lumberjill Contest at the Livestock Arena.
