Yamaha Employees Ensure Every Foster Child in Coweta County Experiences Christmas

From Special Reports
For more than two decades, Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation (YMMC) has quietly carried on a tradition that has become a lifeline of hope for local children. This holiday season, Yamaha employees once again came together through the Angel Tree program to ensure that every child in the Coweta County foster care system received Christmas.
In 2025, Yamaha team members across all divisions sponsored 104 local children, fulfilling wish lists and delivering more than gifts — they delivered joy, dignity, and the reassurance that no child was forgotten during the holidays. By distributing Angel Tree wish lists throughout the company, employees ensured full participation and complete coverage for every child served.
The program has been led for the past 18 years by Tomika Cameron of YMMC, whose dedication has helped sustain and grow the initiative year after year. Cameron’s leadership and passion have made the Angel Tree program a cornerstone of Yamaha’s community impact. “Our team members truly care,” Cameron shared. “People don’t just meet the minimum — they go above and beyond because they want these kids to feel loved.”
The holiday spirit extended across Yamaha’s campus, where employees participated in several Angel Tree events, including a festive gift-wrapping session hosted by the Corporate Planning division. Colleagues gathered to wrap presents for their sponsored children, reinforcing the shared commitment behind the program.
Yamaha partnered with Hope Revisited and Coweta CASA to bring the Angel Tree program to life. Jennifer Nolder of Hope Revisited expressed gratitude for Yamaha’s ongoing support. “This partnership brings joy and excitement to children experiencing foster care during the holidays. Yamaha’s involvement truly makes a difference.”
Gifts were picked up from Yamaha’s Newnan facility on December 12 for delivery to children throughout Coweta County. Kristin Webb, Manager of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Yamaha, emphasized the broader impact of the initiative. “Supporting our community is at the heart of Yamaha’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. When companies invest locally, they help build stronger, more resilient communities.”
Through partnerships with local nonprofits and the generosity of its employees, Yamaha continues to demonstrate how corporate involvement can create meaningful, lasting impact — especially for children who need it most.
