Rep. Lynn Smith Honored by DNR Board for 30 Years of Service In Georgia House

State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan), chair of the House Natural Resources and Environment Committee, was recently honored by the Department of Natural Resources Board with a resolution recognizing her 30 years of service in the Georgia House of Representatives.

“I am truly honored to be recognized by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources,” said Rep. Smith. “Preserving and protecting our state’s natural resources and environment has always been a passion of mine, and my work on the House Natural Resources and Environment Committee has been incredibly meaningful. I am grateful for this recognition and proud of the progress we’ve made to safeguard Georgia’s lands, waters and wildlife for future generations.”

Rep. Smith was first elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 1996 and has served as chair of the House Natural Resources and Environment Committee since 2005.
