JuneTeenth Celebrations Planned

On Friday, June 12th, the NAACP Coweta kicks off its annual Juneteenth Celebrations with a ” Freedom Banquet” at 6 pm at the Newnan Centre.
This year’s theme is “Community, Service, and Education,” a reflection of the values that continue to strengthen and uplift Coweta County.
The keynote speaker is Mayor Jayden Williams , mayor of Stockbridge and the youngest African American mayor in Georgia.
We are privileged to recognize three Coweta County citizens for their outstanding leadership and service to the community:
Ms. Deidre Bembry – Community Impact
Mr. John Wells – Preservation
Ms. Melvinor Kendrick – Trailblazer
