Monday Daily Status Report: Coweta climbs to 421 cases

The 7 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Monday, June 1.
Coweta County recorded 4 new cases of COVID-19, no deaths and 1 hospitalization today. The cumulative total is now at 421 cases, 9 deaths and 52 hospitalizations.
The Coweta County deaths by gender and age – female, 42; male, 77; female, 58; female, 84; female, 63; female, 90-plus; female, 58; female, 78; and female, 71.
There continues to be a discrepancy in Coweta deaths between the Long-Term Care Report (provided by the GA Department of Community Health) and the Daily Status Report (from the GA Department of Public Health). The Long-Term Care Report listed 4 deaths – since Wednesday, May 27 – among the data for Newnan Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home, but only 1 of those has been transferred to the Daily Status Report. Coweta’s death totals should rise to 10 in a future DPH reporting cycle.
Statewide today, Georgia recorded 836 new cases with 36 deaths, 351 hospitalized and 23 admitted to ICU. The 351 folks hospitalized is the single-highest total for one day since 506 on April 7.
In the last two days combined (Sunday and Monday), Georgia has had 1568 cases, 85 deaths, 375 hospitalized and 25 to ICU.
Overall, Georgia now has a cumulative total of 47,899 cases, 2089 deaths, 8302 hospitalized and 1818 ICU admits. The total number of tests administered now stands at 562,815, though 91,184 of that total were antibody tests.
