Clothes Less Traveled (CLT) Thrift Shops’ Executive Director Hope Brown announced the kickoff of the organization’s annual Backpack & School Supply Initiative, reaffirming CLT’s commitment to providing every K–12 student in Fayette and Coweta counties with the essential supplies they need to thrive in the classroom.
“Each year, thousands of local families face the rising cost of essential school supplies. At Clothes Less Traveled, we believe no child should begin the school year at a disadvantage. That is why we are calling on our generous community to donate new backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, markers, binders, calculators, and other classroom necessities. Every item collected will be distributed directly to local students in need.

Education is one of the most powerful investments we can make in our community’s future,” said Hope Brown “By coming together to support this drive, we are helping students feel confident, prepared, and valued as they walk into their classrooms.”

Donations may be dropped off during regular business hours at one of our locations.

Peachtree City: 459 Highway 74 South Peachtree City, GA 30269

Newnan: 10 The Boulevard, Suite 104, Newnan, GA 30263

Monetary contributions are also welcome and will be used exclusively to purchase additional supplies for students across both counties.

For more than 25 years, CLT has reinvested proceeds from its thrift shops into the community through grants, scholarships, and direct support programs. The Backpack & School Supply Drive is a continuation of our mission to uplift and strengthen the communities we serve.

Clothes Less Traveled is a nonprofit serving Fayette and Coweta County. Through the sale of donated goods, CLT provides funding to local charities, supports educational initiatives, and fosters community engagement through volunteerism.
