From Special Reports

ChildrenConnect Museum got a good old fashion scrub down on Monday, October 9 and is now sparkling.

Amazon employees generously volunteered their time and elbow grease to scrub paint off the floors from creative art projects, sanitize toys that young children love to explore, and deep clean the bathrooms. Not the most glamorous work, but the “Glamazon” group including Catherine Caccamo, Josh Albritton, and Janiya Smith made it fun and impactful!

The Amazon Fulfillment Center off Bridgeport Boulevard in Moreland encourages employees to join an Amazon Affinity Group, to use paid time to volunteer together once a month to make an impact in the local community. Affinity Groups include Glamazon-LGBTQ, Women, Latino, Family, Black Employee Network, Disabilities, Warriors-Veterans and Body Positive Peers.

There are numerous volunteer opportunities at the ChildrenConnect Newnan Children’s Museum from assisting with programming and events to behind the scenes marketing and fundraising. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, visit https://www.childrenconnectmuseum.com/volunteer.

Chance the Wonder Horse is a favorite activity for ChildrenConnect visitors. Catherine Caccamo and Josh Albritton gave the mechanical horse a good cleaning.

Janiya Smith helped clean the costume creative play area at ChildrenConnect.

Catherine Caccamo helped clean the creative play kitchens, a top favorite exhibit by ChildrenConnect visitors.
