From Staff Reports

The City of Hope announced that the 2024 Walk for Hope 2K/5K was a huge success.

The event, held on September 7 at the City of Hope Cancer Center campus in Newnan, brought together thousands of participants both in person and virtually to raise funds for cancer research, treatment, and patient care. The events united communities across the nation near Los Angeles, Orange County, Chicago and Atlanta, in a shared mission to end all cancers.

Highlights from the event included:

• Over 600 participants including walkers, survivors, teams and volunteers joined in the fight against cancer at City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta, raising support for life-saving research and compassionate care.

• Survivor stories, music, family-friendly festival atmosphere and local community activities created an inspiring and memorable day that involved City of Hope representatives, event sponsors, local leaders, cancer survivors, and community members.

• Continued fundraising opportunities, with donations accepted through Dec. 3, 2024, Giving Tuesday, to further advance our efforts to find cures and improve patient outcomes.
