Coweta County Celebrating 200 Years With Podcasts

Coweta County is officially celebrating 200 years! Throughout this milestone year, we’ve been reflecting on the heritage, heart, and home that have shaped our community since 1826, with a variety of Bicentennial events to honor our shared history. I’m excited to share the launch of one of our special initiatives – our Bicentennial Story Booth Podcast: Our Community, Our Story.

This podcast is a heartfelt collection of conversations, where families and friends interview one another, sharing memories, local traditions, and personal experiences from growing up in Coweta County. Each story is thoughtfully preserved as part of a living archive, ensuring future generations can connect with our past and community spirit.

We hope you enjoy what we have released so far: Episode 1 features Willie Arnold and Episode 2 spotlights Donald “Duck” Sprayberry. New episodes will continue to premiere every other week through Labor Day, with our next episode debuting on Friday, August 7.
