Kiwanis attend Club Charter, Officer Induction Ceremonies at Coweta Schools

The Kiwanis Club of Newnan kicked off the school year attending three different club charter and officer induction ceremonies at local Coweta schools. 

Below are the visits that took place school-by-school.

Poplar Road Elementary

On September 7, 2022, Poplar Road Elementary School initiated a K-Kids Kiwanis Club especially designed for elementary aged children. This K-Kids club is co-chartered and sponsored by the Newnan Kiwanis and Kiwanis Club of Coweta County.  K-Kids is the largest service organization for elementary school students, with more than 1,200 clubs worldwide. Club members discover their passion to serve, desire to lead and their ability to engage and collaborate with others to better the school and community.

Blake Bass Middle School

Also on September 7, 2022, the new officers for the Kiwanis Builders Club, a service club designed specifically for middle school aged children, were inducted at Blake Bass Middle School.  Builders Club empowers youth as they navigate this in-between-stage of life.

Members develop self-awareness as they discover their passion to serve, their desire to lead and their ability to engage and collaborate with others. Service to school and community become a way of life!

Newnan High School

On Sept. 8th, 2022, the new officers for the Kiwanis Key Club, a service club designed specifically for high school students, were inducted at Newnan High School.  Kiwanis Key Clubs promote caring as a way of life.  Key Club is a student-led, high school organization. Our members make the world a better place through service. In doing so, we grow as individuals and as leaders by answering the call to lead, summoning the courage to engage and developing the heart to serve.
