KNB Joins with Keep America Beautiful in The Greatest American Cleanup

From the City of Newnan Press Release
Mayor Keith Brady this week signed a proclamation regarding Keep Newnan Beautiful’s participation in the Greatest American Cleanup, a nationwide effort to cleanup and beautify America’s parks, public spaces, and waterways in time for America’s 250th Birthday Celebration in 2026.
The Greatest American Cleanup has the goal of removing 25 billion pieces of rubbish and beautifying 25,000 local communities by July 4, 2026.
“We’re excited Newnan is participating in the Greatest American Cleanup as Americans come together to celebrate this important milestone in our nation’s history,” shared Mayor Brady. “This is an historic opportunity for us to showcase our commitment to sustainability and community beautification. Keep Newnan Beautiful will host several events as we celebrate our progress and achievements to help America look her best for her 250th Anniversary Celebration.”
While litter pick up will be an important part of the Greatest American Cleanup, other activities include planting trees and flowers, cleaning nature trails and recreations areas, and supporting local beautification and recycling efforts.
