Hooch Hike and Paddle

Get the best of both worlds at the Bend — a 5.5 mile hike up the Riverside Trail to the bend boat launch where we’ll break for lunch. Then, a short instruction session to get you on your way; a nice, easy paddle back down the Chattahoochee. Boats are available to rent or bring your own. Register in advance, space is limited. Ages 10+ $12 per person plus $30 boat rental. $5 parking. 770-254-7271.
Junior Ranger Camp
Tuesday, June 13 – Thursday, June 15
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Come enjoy an adventure filled three day camp here at Chattahoochee Bend. Archery, hiking, campfire building, and science experiments are only a few of the many adventures you’ll have at this camp. Learn about wild animals, dangerous plants, and survival skills too. Registration is required. Space is limited. $60 plus $5 parking.
Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling
Saturday, June 24,
8:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Grab your glow sticks and light bracelets and come out for family fun outdoor bowling. Bring a dim light or use glow sticks for light (no bright phone lights or flashlights, please). All ages. Cash only. $3 per person $5 parking.

Summer Wined-Up

Individual tastings occur at a different downtown business, where guests should expect to perform a “wine walk” that moves through over 25 host locations. The merchants who host this event will feature different hor d’oeuvres and a variety of whites, reds, and specialty blend wines for guests to sample.
Jazz in the Park

Fourth of July parade
Tuesday, July 4, 10 a.m.
The Fourth of July Parade will begin at Veteran’s Memorial Park at 9:00 a.m., and will end at Greenville Street Park between 9:30- 10:00 a.m. Main Street Newnan welcomes the community to meet at Veteran’s Memorial Park by 8:30 a.m. Registration is not necessary for participants unless they intend to use any type of motorized vehicle to pull a float. There is also no registration fee to participate.
