Tara Davis of Southern States Bank will headline an important program on Elder Abuse and Fraud Awareness at the Newnan Carnegie Library on Thursday, August 22.

The event begins at 2:30 p.m. and will discuss community awareness and prevention of elderly scams, fraud and abuse as well as how to protect your information.

“This particular topic of discussion is such a relevant and unfortunately prevalent one that many people face often, especially the elderly,” said Jessica Dunnington, Newnan Carnegie Library Program Associate. “Therefore, this is great information to obtain in terms of awareness and prevention that can help protect you or someone you know.”

The event is free to the public but registration is required. To register, visit HERE.

The Newnan Carnegie Library is located at 1 LaGrange Street in downtown Newnan. For more information, please call 770-683-1347.
