Discussion: D-Day, the Invasion of Normandy

Join the Newnan Carnegie Library and guest speaker Willard Womack on Thursday, Aug. 17 as the topic of discussion will be D-Day, the Normandy invasion.
This event began a major turning point in WWII, which nine months later ended the war with Germany. We will cover the leaders, the soldiers, their equipment, impactful decisions, well-known and unknown stories, and trivia.
“History programs do really well with our community,” says Jessica Dunnington, the Newnan Carnegie Library Program Associate. “We have amazing guest speakers and the topics are always super fascinating, so people really enjoy them.”
