At Newnan Utilities, we consider it our responsibility to make a positive impact on the communities we serve.

“Our customers are special, and we are grateful to partner in doing good works with them.  Together, we take care of our neighbors. Every single dollar donated by customers is awarded to local nonprofit organizations.” Dennis McEntire, General Manager, Newnan Utilities.

Thousands of customers donate to the program each year; some give monthly while others give periodically. Individuals who are not customers also give to the program. The impact many dollars can make when added together is amazing.

Over $10,000.00 was recently awarded to three local nonprofit organizations from Caring Customers.  Grant awards typically range from $500 to $3500.  The deserving organizations awarded by the Caring Customers’ advisory board for August 2021 are:

ELEVATE Coweta Students – ELEVATE Coweta Students surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.  Learn more at www.elevatecowetastudents.org.

I58 Mission – I58 Mission is a Christian service agency formed to partner with the community to help provide shelter, share food and clothe those in need.  Learn more at www.i58mission.org

“We are incredibly grateful to our Newnan Utilities friends and customers for selecting the Coweta Samaritan Clinic as one of its ‘Caring Customers’ grant recipients. Because of faithful support from friends like Newnan Utilities, we are able to provide high quality, compassionate healthcare for uninsured Coweta County adults, completely free of charge. As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and the aftereffects of the March tornado, we are grateful to be in a position to continue serving our neighbors who need us, especially during one of the most challenging times any of us has ever faced.” – Kay R. Crosby, MD, Chairman/Medical Director, Coweta Samaritan Clinic

Nonprofits are encouraged to apply by November 1 for consideration in the December grant review.
