Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Wadsworth Parking Lot set for July 7

The city of Newnan will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the recent renovation of the Wadsworth Auditorium Parking Lot, located at 25 Jefferson Street in downtown Newnan.

The ceremony will take place at the Lee Street entrance of the parking lot. 

“We are very grateful for the hard work of the city staff and contactors who completed this project,” said Newnan Mayor Keith Brady. “This renovation provides for better ADA accessibility with a new handicap ramp and a new loading dock to assist in the ease of offloading equipment for events. We now enjoy an additional 20 parking spaces for a total of 47 spaces.” 

Other improvements include the main entrance stairs being repaired by city crews and the addition of beautiful landscaping with lights, decorative fencing, retaining wall, pavers, and ornate benches.
