The Piedmont Newnan Hospital Fitness Center is excited to once again host its annual Autumn Chase on Saturday, Oct. 25 around the beautiful lakes at Newnan Utilities’ Carl Miller Park in Newnan, Ga.
“We are very excited to bring this trail race back this year,” said Colleen Mooney, Manager, Piedmont Newnan Fitness Center. “This unique race is a favorite in the community and a great way to support our fitness center in downtown Newnan.”
The Autumn Chase Trail Race, which supports the fitness center’s community fitness programs, consists of a 10k (6.2 miles) race beginning at 8:30 a.m., a 5K (3.1 miles) race beginning at 9 a.m., and a one-mile fun run starting at 9:45 a.m. Those interested in supporting the event but not participating in the races can enjoy activities for the entire family, including Kids’ Castle Park, sponsor giveaways and more.
Registration details: $35 registration fee for 10K and 5K participants before Oct. 19 or $40 after. One-mile fun runners and phantom runners can participate for $25. Participants may register online at give.piedmont.org/autumnchase or at the Piedmont Newnan Fitness Center.
Awards will be given to overall winners (male and female) and first, second and third place finishers in all age groups.
The Piedmont Newnan Hospital Fitness Center is open to individuals aged 13 and older and focuses on disease prevention, rehabilitation of injuries and maintenance of optimal health. Located at 26 West Court Square in Newnan, the fitness center offers a variety of group exercise programs, personal training, a senior wellness program, rehabilitation assistance, massage therapy and more.
As a not-for-profit organization with a mission to help our community adopt a healthier lifestyle through the love of movement, this annual event helps fund fitness center renovations, new equipment and supports the offering of free classes to our most vulnerable population.
