Sports on TV: Braves, Hawks, United schedules for May 3-9

Three Atlanta professional sports teams will appear on television in the next week (May 3-9).
The Atlanta Braves enter the week with a 12-16 record but only 2 games back in the Major League Baseball’s National League East Division. Atlanta was swept over the weekend by the Toronto Blue Jays. After an off day today, the Braves begin a three-game road series at the Washington Nationals before returning home for a three-game set against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday. Thursday’s game will be televised only on YouTube.
The Atlanta Hawks secured at least a spot in the NBA Playoff Play-in Tournament with a 108-97 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. It’s the first time since 2017 the Hawks will appear in the postseason. The Hawks are currently tied with the Miami Heat for 5th place in the Eastern Conference with a 35-30 record. All three games this week – Portland (tonight), Phoenix (Wednesday) and Indiana (Thursday) – will be televised by Bally Sports Southeast.
And finally, the Atlanta United will appear on TV twice this upcoming week. The travel to face the Philadelphia Union in the 2nd leg of the CONCACAF Champions League play on Tuesday. United returns to Major League Soccer play on Sunday at Inter Miami CF. Atlanta is coming off a 2-1 loss to New England in MLS play on Saturday to run its record to 1-1-1.
