A MUSICAL CHRISTMAS

Join the Newnan Carnegie Library and the Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation December 8th at Noon for another exciting free lunchtime program. Bring a lunch with you as we welcome Tim Hurt and Sharissa Manwaring as they co-lead the High School Chamber Group at Trinity Christian School in Sharpsburg. This group of students is a combined band and orchestra, performing custom arrangements tailored specifically for these students and instrumentation. Kylie Beckman, Anna Manwaring and Isaiah Ware are all seniors at Trinity, some of the highest level of performers Trinity has to offer. This program promises to be a highlight of the Christmas 2023 season in Newnan so enjoy! SWEETLAND ON ICE

During the winter season, Sweetland Amphitheatre hosts a covered 5,500 square foot open-air ice-skating rink provided and operated by the Sweetland team. The Newnan Cultural Arts Commission invites you for a side-splitting evening of comedy and improvisation with Atlanta’s Dad’s Garage. Dad’s Garage transforms people, communities, and perspectives through laughter. SENOIA FARMERS MARKET
8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at 40 Travis Street, Senoia
It is a community-oriented marketplace that features a variety of local farmers, food producers, artisans, and craftsmen. You can find a wide selection of fresh produce, including fruits and vegetables, herbs, and flowers. There are also local food producers selling homemade baked goods, jams and jellies, honey, and other artisanal products. The market also features handmade crafts, such as pottery, jewelry, and textiles. Visitors can enjoy live music, food trucks, and other family-friendly activities.  EVERY Saturday.

COWETA YOUTH RUNNING

An informational meeting is scheduled at Dragonfly to learn more about community plans to start a youth running group in the Spring 2024. Interested participants are welcome to attend.

COWETA COUNTY WOMEN VETERAN MEET-UP

Calling all women veterans in Coweta County! You are welcome to a fantastic meet-up where you can connect, share stories, and celebrate our amazing Coweta County Women Veteran Meet-up. SECOND SATURDAY WORKDAY
9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Chattahoochee Bend State Park, 425 Bob White Way, Newnan
Volunteer opportunity hosted by Friends of the Chattahoochee Bend State Park. Meet at the Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Voluteers will be removing old trail markers and installing new markers on a section of the Riverside Trail. Cordless drills (we’ll supply the bits), hammers, small pry bars, and work gloves are suggested. This workday is appropriate for teenagers and adults.

WELCOMING WINTER HIKE
9:30-11 a.m. at Chattahoochee Bend State Park, 425 Bob White Way, Newnan • 770-254-7171
Join the park in welcoming winter with a two-mile hike on our Riverside Trail to the tower and back. Make sure to bring water, and dress warm. We will meet at the Day Use Area. Pre-registration is required. You can pre-register at 770-254-7271. $4 per person. $5 park pass is also required.

CHRISTMAS IN CARROLLTON MARKET & PARADE

The City of Hogansville presents its 2023 Christmas Parade and Winter Market. Craft Vendors, Holiday Music, Food Vendors, Christmas Parade and a visit with Santa Claus. The Winter Market hours are 3-8 p.m. with the Parade at 6 p.m.

CITY OF NEWNAN CHRISTMAS PARADE
6 p.m. in downtown Newnan
This year’s theme is Christmas at the North Pole. Award categories – Most Creative, Most Original, Best Use of Parade Theme, The Elfin Award (children participation) and The People’s Choice. The parade floats will start in the parking lot by Dunc’s BBQ on Jackson Street. They will make their way down Jackson Street through downtown Newnan before dispersing around Greenville Street park. The viewing areas will be along Jackson Street between Clark Street and Salbide Avenue.
