FRIDAY, JANUARY 31

5TH ANNUAL DOWNTOWN NEWNAN BOUTIQUE CRAWL
5-9 p.m., Downtown Newnan
Join over 20 downtown merchants for the fifth annual Boutique Crawl! What is a Boutique Crawl you ask? Make a purchase at any participating store and be entered to win BIG! More details to come!! The event sponsored by Finley’s Boutique.

TASTE OF PINE MOUNTAIN
6 p.m., Town of Pine Mountain
There will be delicious food, amazing music and so much more. This night will be one to remember as you visit each store in Pine Mountain while sampling food from local restaurants. NEWNAN SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL
7:30 p.m., Wadsworth Auditorium, 25 Jefferson Street, Newnan
Newnan Songwriter Festival is a two-day event featuring national and local professional songwriters at some of downtown Newnan’s best venues. Wristbands for the festival are $30. On Friday night, Songwriter’s in the Round at Wadsworth Auditorium at 7:30PM. David Ryan Harris, Angie Aparo, Alex Guthrie, and Davin McCoy all on stage together! SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1

RUN FOR ANGELS 2025
8 a.m., First United Methodist Church Parish Hall, 33 Greenville Street, Newnan
For t23 years, this community has opened their hearts and laced up their shoes for the children who call Angel’s House home. Since the first run in 2003 and opening its doors in 2004, Newnan-Coweta Angel’s House, Inc. has provided more than 40,000 restful nights to hundreds of children removed from dire situations. A non-profit, licensed community-based children’s shelter, Angel’s House provides vital services to foster children who are victims of abuse and neglect. The Run for Angels is their sole fundraising event.  Race Day Registration at 7 a.m., Fun Run at 8 a.m., 5K/10K start at 8:30 a.m., Awards at 9:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Chicken Q Service. PEACHTREE CITY MARKET

Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.

WOMEN’S SELF-DEFENSE CLASS

Learn some practical self-defense skills with certified N.D.D.T. Self Defense Instructor and founder of Warrior Defenders Holly Reese. Topics covered will be situational awareness, verbal defense and de-escalation tactics, and simple and practical offensive striking. ADULT SPELLING BEE

On a scale of 1 to 10, how good of a speller are you? Join the Peachtree City Library Library for their first-ever Adult Spelling Bee. The Adult Spelling Bee will have three rounds of two-error elimination competition: Easy, Intermediate, and Advanced. Participants must register to compete. All spectators are welcome without registration. We will be awarding first, second and third place winners. This free event will be held in the Floy Farr Room on the lower level of the library. NEWNAN SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL

The second day of this two-day event has businesses around downtown Newnan featuring local songwriters. Wristband not required for Saturday shows, BUT wear your wristband from Friday’s event for specials at each location Confirmed are Sarah and Joey at Leaf & Bean beginning at 5 p.m. and John Hensley and Liberty Road at The Bays starting at 8 p.m.

AUDITIONS: THE CEMETERY CLUB
7-9 p.m., Newnan Theatre Company, 24 1st Avenue, Newnan • 770-683-6282
Newnan Theatre Company has announced auditions for The Cemetery Club by Ivan Menchell. Auditions will be Sunday and Monday nights. The Cemetery Club tells the story of three widows who meet for tea once a month and then accompany one another to the local cemetery where their husbands are buried. Like their canasta and mahjong groups, they are an informal club. But there are rules, just not ones written down or often spoken. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
