THE LOCALS MARKET
5-9 pm, Downtown Grantville
The Locals Market is a great time for the whole family. Enjoy all that the small businesses have to offer, eat some great food and have fun with our free children’s activities. Can’t wait to see you there.

COWETA COUNTY FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 am-Noon, Asa Powell Expo Center, 197 Temple Avenue, Newnan • 770-254-2620
It’s the start of the 48th year bringing you only locally grown, fresh seasonal produce, beef, eggs, honey, flowers, baked goods, handmade crafts and so much more! This Guy’s BBQ will be there in case you are hungry. Also be giving away free market shopping bags to the 1st 100 customers!

SENOIA FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 am – 1 pm, 40 Travis Street, Senoia
Locally-sourced Farmer’s Market, every Saturday. Fresh produce, baked goods, local artisans and much more.

3RD ANNUAL KIDS FISHING RODEO
8:30 am, Hardley Creek Park, West Point Dam, West Point GA
Join the Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce at Hardley Creek Park on West Point Lake for the 3rd Annual Kids Fishing Rodeo. Registration is from 8:30-9 am with Fishing from 9:30 am-Noon. Tagged Fish = Cash Prize. Bait and lunch provided. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All children must be 12 years and under.

PEACHTREE CITY MARKET
9 am-1 pm, Aberdeen Village Shopping Center, Aberdeen Parkway, Peachtree City
Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.

SERENBE FARMERS AND ARTISTS MARKET
9 am-1 pm, 10640 Serenbe Lane, Chattahoochee Hills
This weekly market partners with quality vendors including growers, artisans, craftmakers and healthy food producers. The market is filled with fresh produce, delicious foods, fine arts and crafts.

COWETA COUNTY GENEALOGICAL OPEN HOUSE
10 am-4 pm, Coweta County Genealogical Library, 8 Carmichael Street, Newnan
Come by and let the Coweta County Genealogical Society folks show you how much new reference material that they have. They can help you break down your brick wall. They love helping their patrons with research.

APPS TO NATURE 101 WITH BIRD BINGO
10-11 am, Chattahoochee Bend State Park, 425 Bob White Way, Newnan • 770-254-7271
Come learn how to use the two different App to Nature that the Rangers use at State Parks, followed by a fun game of bird bingo! Winner gets a prize!

DOWNTOWN NEWNAN MARKET DAY
10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Courthouse Square, downtown Newnan
It’s the monthly Market Day in downtown Newnan. The event is hosted by Main Street Newnan on the first Saturday of every month. The Market features over 55 unique spaces, with a variety of one-of-a-kind gift items. Market Day favorites include: fresh locally grown produce, honey, jams & jellies, pottery, art, hand-woven baskets, leather products, etc.

BOOKS ON BLANKETS
10 am, First Avenue Park, Downtown Newnan
Bring your family and your blankets to First Avenue Park in Downtown Newnan, and plop yourselves on the grass to hear our guests read stories while you enjoy some free ice cream and pick out a brand new book to take home! This event started in 2019 when Atkinson Elementary media specialist, Jessica Pope, applied for and won a grant to start this initiative. Since then, Books on Blankets still strives to help families create happy memories surrounding books and reading in the summer with the help of other literacy partners such as Coweta Ferst Foundation, Newnan Carnegie Library, Foundation Christian Church, and local educators. Please join us and bring your friends!

4TH ANNUAL COMMUNITY DAY & NONPROFIT FAIR
10 am-2 pm, Clothes Less Traveled Thrift Shop, 459 Hwy. 74 South, Peachtree City
Don’t miss out on FREE food, FREE games, FREE music, and so much more to do outside the Clothest Less Traveled Thrift Shop PLUS amazing sales and giveaways on the inside! The parking lot will be filled with the charities your donations and purchases support so that you get to see the impact you are making on your community! SHARPSBURG INDIANS FOOTBALL & CHEER WORKOUTS
1-2:45 pm, East Coweta High School, 400 Hwy. 154, Sharpsburg
Event hosted by Sharpsburg Indians Youth Football and Cheer. Football training and cheerleading workouts. Cheerleaders, you’ll be on the track. Make sure to wear comfortable clothing, hydrate well and have a snack before workouts.

ZOO TO YOU WITH WILD ANIMAL SAFARI
2-4 pm, 407 North Greenwood Street, LaGrange
Discover the wonders of wildlife! Local Groundz and Wild Animal Safari present Zoo to You, a zoo-per fun animal education event. A Wild Animal Safari educator will take you on a wild adventure that includes a variety of animals and hands-on learning items that guarantees a purr-fect day for the whole family! This FREE event takes place outdoors; be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on.

MONDAY, JUNE 9

FREE SUMMER MOVIE SERIES: ‘SONIC 3’
2 pm, Wadsworth Auditorium, 25 Jefferson Street, Newnan
