Week 0: College Football on TV

The 2025 college football season kicks off with the so-called “Week 0” as a few FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) teams get their seasons started on Saturday, Aug. 23.

Several FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) schools are also in action including three from the Big 12 Conference (Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State) and one from the Atlantic Coast Conference (Stanford).

One Georgia school – Mercer – gets its campaign going in Montgomery against UC-Davis.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 23

22 Iowa State vs. 17 Kansas State (Dublin), Noon – ESPN
Incarnate Word at Nicholls, 1 pm – ESPN2
Idaho State at UNLV, 4 pm – No TV
Tarleton State at Portland State, 4:30 pm – ESPN2
Fresno State at Kansas, 6:30 pm – FOX
UC Davis vs. Mercer (Montgomery), 7 pm – ESPN
Sam Houston State at Western Kentucky, 7 pm – CBS Sports Network
Stanford at Hawaii, 7:30 pm – CBS
North Carolina Central vs. Southern (Atlanta), 7:30 pm – ABC
