Battle of the Badges takes place March 2

This rivalry is for a great cause.

It’s the 2023 version of the Battle of the Badges which is set for Thursday, March 2 at the Newnan Centre. The Newnan Police Department and the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office will battle it out in a no holds barred blood drive to benefit the American Red Cross.

Police Chief Brent Blankenship will lead the Newnan Police Department in this battle with Sheriff Lenn Wood leading the Coweta Sheriff’s Office.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the goal of the day – 75 pints of blood. The general public is invited to participate and donate. When you arrive, just let the folks know at the Newnan Centre who you are rooting for and your blood will count toward your side’s pint tally.

The Newnan Centre is located at 1515 Lower Fayetteville Road in Newnan.
