SUMMER SELF-CARE FAIR

True Balance Center for Breath and Bodywork is a haven for those seeking healing, balance, and inner peace. Therapies which they offer include Massage, Breathwork, Acupuncture, Biomagnetic Pair Therapy, BioMat® sessions, Lymphatic Drainage, Ionic Foot Detox, Energy Work and more. From 2-7 p.m., you can try out many of the above options! Only $15 to get in the door, which includes all group activities, discounts on private sessions + 1 raffle ticket. SENOIA ALIVE AFTER FIVE: ICE CREAM FEST
5-9 p.m., Downtown Senoia
I scream, you scream! It’s an ICE CREAM FEST in Senoia! Senoia Alive After Five is a monthly community event that takes place in downtown Senoia, Georgia. The event features live music performances by local musicians, food trucks, and vendors selling handcrafted artisan goods, jewelry, artwork and much more! The event is FREE to attend.
PEACHTREE CITY NIGHT MARKET

This is a free, open to the public event, featuring music, entertainment, food and artists. Beverage vendors, Dessert and Snack Vendors, Food Trucks and Merchandise Vendors. Live music by The Southside Band (5:30-6:45 p.m.) and Water to Wine (7:15-10 p.m.).

In addition, Coweta County UGA Extension’s Family & Consumer Science Agent will join us this season with fun cooking demos, food safety tips and children’s activities. Plus, don’t miss the chance to meet your new furry best friend, as Coweta County Animal Services will be on-site offering pet adoptions.

SANCTUARY FLOAT CENTER OPEN HOUSE

This event benefits Hearts ’N Homes Rescue. Come grab some snacks, tour the therapy rooms (float, sauna, plunge, halo, red light) and select a “Ducky” to see what prize you have won. Plus, anyone bringing Dog Supply Donations to the Open House will receive 75% Off any therapy booked that day (for future visit). The hope is to gather lots of food, blankets and treats for the dogs and puppies in Coweta that will be helped by Hearts ’N Homes Rescue. Donation receipts will be available.

SERENBE FARMERS MARKET

The Serenbe Farmers Market hosts Growers, Artisans, Craft-makers, and Healthy Food Producers. Parking is available along Serenbe Lane in Grange.

THE SHARPSBURG MARKET

Bring family and friends to enjoy the Sharpsburg Market. It’s hosted by Team Hungry (student-led nonprofit) to cultivate community. Attendees will find a collection of local vendors with all kinds of wonderful goods for you to browse. Come and enjoy your Saturday in this gem of a town nestled not far from East Coweta High School.

FALL GARDENING CLASS

Get ready it’s almost time to plant your fall vegetable garden. Veggies like kale, Collards, Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Brussel sprouts grow better as the weather gets cooler in the fall. Come attend a class on planting a fall garden. The cost is $10 and you can register HERE.

This Saturday, it’s Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series, $15,000 to win plus Crate Racin’ USA, $3,000 to win. Classes include Hot Shot, Bomber, Hobby, Modified, 604 and Supers. Grandstand pricing is $30 for Adults, Kids 12-and-under FREE; Pit pricing is $40 Adults, Kids 6-12 is $20 and 5-and-under is FREE. Pit Gates open at 3 p.m., Grandstands open at 5 p.m. Racing begins at 7 p.m.

WAIT UNTIL DARK AUDITIONS

Newnan Theatre Company is excited to announce auditions for Wait Until Dark. Forty-seven years after Wait Until Dark premiered on Broadway, Jeffrey Hatcher has adapted Frederick Knott’s 1966 original, giving it a new setting. Auditions will be Sunday and Monday, August 18 and 19. Wait Until Dark will be directed by Mandy Mitchell and will be the October show in NTC’s 47th season, The Amethyst Tour. It will be presented in the Julie Hunter Marchese Theatre October 17-20 and 24-27, 2024. Those auditioning need to prepare a 30 – 60-second monologue from their favorite horror film or scary movie. Auditions will also consist of cold readings from the script.
