WALK FOR HOPE: 2024
7 a.m., City of Hope, 600 Celebrate Life Parkway, Newnan
Since its inception in 1997, Walk for Hope has raised more than $47 million, fueling their mission and making hope happen for all touched by cancer. The walk brings an entire community together for one common cause – to end cancer for all. Join the City of Hope’s movement as they walk together. 100% of net proceeds raised by Walk for Hope support City of Hope cancer research and life-giving care. Event details: Event opens at 7 a.m., Program begins on stage at 9 a.m. and Lineup and Walk-Off (2K or 5K) at 9:30 a.m.
SATURDAY FOOD DISTRIBUTION
8-10 a.m., Bridging The Gap, 19 1st Avenue, Newnan
Free weekly drive-through food pantry. Boxes typically include: Frozen meat, fresh fruits and produce, dairy, bread and desserts. First come first served. Registration is required on site the day of distribution.

NO ONE WALKS ALONE SUICIDE PREVENTION AWARENESS WALK
9 a.m., 92 Farmer Street, Newnan
This free, family event will take place along the LINC trail (92 Farmer St). The event will include multiple Coping Skill Stations such as pet therapy, art therapy, yoga, music, gardening, vision boards, and more. This is an opportunity to honor loved ones that have lost their life to suicide as well as raise awareness of mental health illness – including thoughts of suicide. Learn ways to cope with feelings of anxiety and depression and new skills to strengthen your mental health. Use this as an ice-breaker to speak to your kids or teens about Mental Health. Registration is not required.

4TH ANNUAL BUFFALO CREEK FALL FESTIVAL
9 a.m.-4 p.m., Carroll County Agricultural Center, 900 Newnan Road, Carrollton
The Carroll County Master Gardeners will be holding the Fourth The 4th Annual Buffalo Creek Fall Festival at the Carroll County Agricultural Center. This year’s event features craft vendors, more local food trucks than ever before, raffle baskets, 4-H activities for the children, and plant sales from the Master Gardeners as well as local nurseries. Admission is free.
PEACHTREE CITY MARKET

Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.
SERENBE FARMERS MARKET
9 a.m.- 1 p.m., The Grange Green, 10640 Serenbe Lane, Chattahoochee Hills
The Serenbe Farmers Market hosts Growers, Artisans, Craft-makers, and Healthy Food Producers. Parking is available along Serenbe Lane in Grange.
DOWNTOWN NEWNAN MARKET DAY
10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Courthouse Square, downtown Newnan
Hosted by Main Street Newnan on the first Saturday of every month. The Market features over 55 unique spaces, with a variety of one-of-a-kind gift items. Market Day favorites include: fresh locally grown produce, honey, jams & jellies, pottery, art, hand-woven baskets, leather products, etc.
HOUSING RESOURCE FAIR
10 a.m.-2 p.m., West Broad Street, Courthouse Square (next to Carnegie Library), Newnan
Hosted by the City of Newnan’s Urban Redevelopment Agency. The purpose of this event is to educate residents about housing related programs and resources made available by community partners and providers.
MINERALS AND ROCKS / GEOLOGY
