CCF: Community comes together to mobilize disaster response teams

From Coweta Community Foundation Press Release
As Hurricane Helene approached, the Coweta Community Foundation swiftly mobilized, leveraging its extensive experience from past disasters like the March 2021 tornadoes.
With proactive steps already in place before the storm hit, the Foundation has been coordinating critical resources. It is ready to assist both locally and in neighboring communities impacted by the hurricane.
“We are incredibly proud of our community’s preparedness and the willingness to act quickly in times of need,” said Kristin Webb, CEO of the Foundation. “Before the storm even reached Coweta, over 200 volunteers had signed up, and today, they are actively helping areas hit hard by Hurricane Helene.”
The Foundation’s strength lies in its partnerships. Alongside government agencies, first responders, nonprofits, utility companies, and local businesses, the Disaster Response Team ensures a coordinated and effective response locally and in the broader region.
In honor of the community’s resilience, donations to the Alan Jackson Disaster Relief Fund—named after the country singer and Newnan native who supported the community after the 2021 tornadoes—will now assist hurricane victims across Georgia.
