WINTER FIELD DAY EXERCISE
11 a.m. Saturday to 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Madras Community Center, 2355 Hwy. 29 North, Newnan
The Newnan Regional Amateur Radio Club (NRARC) is participating in a national emergency preparedness exercise designed specifically for winter weather. The exercise, Winter Field Day, hosted by the Winter Field Day Association, has fortuitous timing as Georgians battle snow and winter storm warnings issued by the National Weather Service twice so far in January 2025. The exercise will run from 11 a.m. EST on Saturday, Jan. 25 continuously through 4:59 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26 for a full 30 hours.
ROYAL INTERNATIONAL MISS GEORGIA & ALABAMA STATE PAGEANT
Noon, Wadsworth Auditorium, 25 Jefferson Street, Newnan
The Royal International Miss Georgia & Alabama State Pageant will be awarding 3 titles per division for Georgia delegates and 2 titles per division for Alabama delegates. Age divisions include Princess 4-7, Sweetheart 8-10, Pre-Teen 11-13, Junior Teen 14-16, Teen 17-19, Miss 20-25, and Ms. 26+.
