SOUTHEAST BUMBLE BEE ATLAS FIELD DAY

The Southeast Bumble Bee Atlas is holding a field day this Friday at Chattahoochee Bend State Park. You are invited to join them searching for bumble bees and practicing survey techniques as part of ongoing conservation efforts. Field days are outdoor events for participants to gain hands-on experience with the project protocol. These events are a great way to learn how to use your insect net, collect data according to project methods, identify bumble bees, and connect with fellow volunteers. To register, click HERE.

SECOND SATURDAY WORKDAY

Sponsored by Friends of Chattahoochee Bend State Park, meet at the Visitor Center around 8:45 am. The projects this weekend will be: flood damage repairs to the Wild Turkey Trail near the Visitor Center; trail maintenance; and bridge repair/replace estimation. The weather forecast is half good, but be prepared for rain anyway. Bring your standard yardwork equipment, muck boots if you have them, and plenty of electrolyted water!

NITWITS FREE IMPROV WORKSHOP

Learn the basic skills of improv and how to translate them to a live performance, along with keys to navigating an interactive audience and the differences between an improv troupe, an improv game, and an improv show. Each lesson begins with warmups and social connections that will evolve the individual strengths and weaknesses of our students. All workshops will start at 2 p.m. and run until 5 p.m. The workshops will focus on Improv Goals and are designed to welcome beginners and refresh veterans. These workshops are put together with busy summers in mind and do not require participants to attend every week. All those who attend any workshop are welcome to perform in the N.I.T.W.I.T.S. performances on August 1 & 2! Standouts may be invited to become an official member of N.I.T.W.I.T.S. for the 2025-2026 Season. This workshop is open to anyone age 18 and older.
