The City of Newnan held a ribbon cutting at Greenville Street Park, celebrating the recent park improvements, which include an enhanced stage with AV capabilities and additional seating capacity. Mayor Shepherd thanked the citizens for supporting SPLOST and the City Council for approving the improvements. “This is what SPLOST dollars are meant to do. These improvements will make Greenville Street Park an even better place for our entire Newnan community to come together.”

He is retiring from the Newnan Fire Department with 30 years of service to the community. “David has been a strong and steady presence at the Newnan Fire Department for decades.
