Carnegie, Reese to co-host Self-Defense Class for Women

From Special Reports
The Newnan Carnegie Library and Holly Reese, a Warrior Defender instructor, will co-host a self-defense class for women on Thursday, Aug. 4.
This hour-long, self-defense class will begin at 6 p.m. Participants will learn reality-based self-defense, techniques and drills to build survival skills. The class will cover fundamental, practical self-defense drills, footwork, and techniques.
The free class is for women ages 15 years-and-up. Participants need to wear comfortable clothes, shoes and bring water. This is an adult class with some adult subject matters.
“We’re very excited to have Holly back representing Warrior Defenders,” says Anthony Urda, the Newnan Carnegie Library Adult Event Coordinator. “These are important skills, and, as an instructor, she does well at communicating the information.”
Online registration is required for this event, so please visit the Newnan Carnegie Library website Calendar Page to sign up.
The Newnan Carnegie Library is located at 1 LaGrange Street in downtown Newnan.
